2 Available Mini Lop Bunnies

We currently have two 11 week old (as of 3/23) rabbits ready to hop to their new homes! These 2 brothers are handled daily and could potentially bond as a pair.

If you’ve been considering adding rabbits to your homestead or family, please read our blog post on caring for your first rabbit to see if they’re right for you.

Feel free to contact us with questions or availability.

 Our homestead is at risk…

On January 23rd, we were informed of a devastating high voltage power line siting that is proposed to run directly through the center of our property. We’ve worked for 6 solid years to restore and improve this historic property, including efforts at extensive reforestation and native permaculture. Buzzing power lines displace wildlife, kill underlying plants and insects and create noise pollution. We purchased this scenic land in an effort to live in a quiet area in harmony with nature. In addition to our actual livelihood, no amount of money can compensate for the loss of peace.

We know that in these instances, we may not have much hope. But our best hope is that the squeaky wheel gets the oil, so we desperately need our community to help us.

Please help us oppose Route 1 of this project by emailing First Energy. A significant portion of Route 2 runs along existing transmission lines and would have the least environmental impact.

  • Now that the public meeting is over and decision-making is in the works, emailing is currently the only way we know to help.

We previously created a template to offer an easy way for folks to express their support. But we have since learned that after receiving hundreds of emails with the same template, First Energy tuned them out.

If you would still like to email and oppose Route 1, original emails are still taken into account.

GROW - NURTURE - CREATE

Even before we pursued our dreams of homesteading in 2018, we felt a passionate call to live closer to nature and in harmony with the earth. We wanted to be able to have a connection to our resources, use our creativity and be good stewards of our property. We wanted to know exactly where our food was coming from. We wanted to live and learn with intention and reverence for God’s creation.

Now, we live out our personal mission statement each day.
